Privacy policy

TranzSales is software that wholesale distributors (“your company”) use to take orders, visit and deliver to stores, collect payments and run their sales team. It is provided by TranzDigital Inc. (“we”). This policy explains what the TranzSales website and the TranzSales apps for iPhone and Android collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Your company decides who gets a login and what is kept about its customers and orders; for that business information we work on your company's behalf. Questions about your company's own records are best sent to your company first.

What we collect

  • Your account: name, e-mail address, phone number, role and the store(s) you order for, plus your password (stored only as a one-way hash) and settings such as notification preferences.
  • Business records: customers, products, prices, orders, invoices, payments, returns, visits, tasks, notes, messages, delivery records with signatures and photos - entered in TranzSales or synchronised from your company's own business system (for example SAP Business One).
  • Location - only for sales reps and drivers, and only at work:
    • When a sales rep checks in at a store, the location of that check-in.
    • While a driver's delivery run is on the road (the truck is loaded and the run is not finished), the phone's position about once a minute - in the phone app also with the screen off. Only the latest position is kept, and it is erased when the run is finished. Your company can switch this off.
    • While a sales rep's workday is on (they tapped Start my day and agreed after a notice explaining it), the phone's position about once a minute - in the phone app also with the screen off - with its battery level. Only the latest position is kept, together with where the day started and ended and the distance travelled (the day's mileage). Sharing stops when the rep ends the day, and at midnight at the latest. Your company can switch this off.
    • Arrival alerts (“At this store? Tap to check in”) are worked out on the phone itself, from the positions above; nothing extra is sent for them.
    • Store locations learned from deliveries and visits, to plan routes.
  • Camera: used to scan product barcodes (read on the phone; only the code is used) and to take photos you choose to add, such as proof of delivery.
  • Microphone: only while you record a voice note on a visit in the phone app. The recording is saved with the visit, like a photo, and only your company's staff can play it.
  • Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint: if you turn on unlocking the phone app with it, your phone checks it. Nothing about your face or fingerprint reaches TranzSales or your company.
  • Notifications: if you allow them, a push token for your phone or browser. Notifications say only that there is something new; the details stay in TranzSales.
  • On our website: if you ask for a demo on tranzsales.com, the name, company, e-mail address, phone number and message you send us, used only to reply to you. The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Technical and security information: sign-in times, IP address, browser or app version, and an audit log of important actions (for example who approved an order or posted a payment).

We do not collect contacts, photos you did not take in the app, health data, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

  • To provide TranzSales to your company and you: orders, routes, deliveries, payments, reports and notifications.
  • To keep accounts secure, prevent misuse, and investigate problems.
  • To support your company when it asks for help (support access is recorded and can be switched off by your company).

We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Who it is shared with

  • Your company and the people it gives access to, according to their role. Each company's records are kept in a separate database.
  • Service providers that run TranzSales for us, only as needed: hosting (Vercel), databases (Neon), e-mail delivery (Resend), push notifications (Expo, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification service), map tiles (OpenStreetMap or a map provider your company uses; in the phone app, Apple Maps on iPhone and Google Maps on Android) and, if your company turns the assistant on, the AI provider that answers its questions (Anthropic).
  • Your company's business system (for example SAP Business One, run by your company or its hosting partner), where orders, payments and customer changes are sent.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Business records are kept for as long as your company uses TranzSales, and are deleted or returned when it leaves. A driver's live position is erased when the run is finished; a sales rep's workday (start, end, latest position and mileage) is kept with your company's records like a visit. Security logs are kept for a limited time. When your login is removed, your personal details are deleted except where your company must keep records (for example invoices and payments) for legal or accounting reasons.

Your choices and rights

  • Location, camera, microphone and notifications are asked for on your phone and can be turned off in its settings at any time.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information - through your company's administrator, or by writing to us at support@tranzsales.com. See how to delete an account.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law (for example California or the EU); we will respond within the time it allows.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, each company's data is held in its own database, and staff access to the platform requires two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell your company if a breach affects it.

Children

TranzSales is business software and is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Important changes will be announced in TranzSales.
